Allegiance began in 2003 under Ray Petrocelli & Joe Kobel. The two of them had spent 30 years at a well-known insurance company, and wanted to found their own company based on the idea of putting the customer first, rather than focusing on sales. They began an independent agency, and signed their first carrier that year. Fifteen years later, Allegiance has over 40 carriers and 1,600 clients.

With so many carriers to offer, we work to find exactly the coverage and payment options that fit your budget. We also want to make sure that you understand what you are paying for, putting a focus on education. Even though we have a national reach, we can ensure a home-town feel to your insurance experience.

Maggie Kobel Livingston
Maggie has been a part of Allegiance Insurance since 2006. She has spent these past years building strong relationships with clients while providing personalized service. She is truly passionate about making sure her clients are educated on their insurance needs. Maggie lives in the southwest suburbs of Chicago with her husband, Eric. She loves the beauty of the outdoors, enjoys exercising her creative side with arts and crafts, traveling, and has a big heart for animals (especially English Bulldogs!).
Steve has been part of the Allegiance team since 2007. His primary focus has always been providing great customer service and building great, long-lasting relationships with his clients. He always looks to get his customers the best rates without sacrificing coverage, because covering our clients properly is a core part of what makes Allegiance's service exceptional. In his spare time, Steve enjoys spending time with family and friends and rooting for all the Chicago sports teams. He’s a sports fanatic.
Penny has always worked in the insurance industry, working in many capacities within the industry, but especially enjoys working directly with clients. She prides herself on providing clients with the best coverage available while making sure the clients know they are our most important asset. Penny has two grown children, Ryan and Tara. She lives in Plainfield with her husband, Tony, and four(!) doggie fur-babies.
Jamie has been in the insurance industry for one year working for Allegiance Insurance Services. She gets the most information from the clients so the agents can diligently answers any questions the client may have. Jamie loves spending time with her family and going on vacations. She lives with her husband (Tim) and two sons (Kevin and Nathan).
I am a new Illinois resident by way of Memphis, Tennessee. I have 2 grown children: Wade, 23 and Katie, 20. I graduated from Memphis State University (GO TIGERS!) with a degree in Elementary Education. I taught 4th grade for a few years and then stayed home with my babies. I have worked in a variety of fields since then including sales, marketing, and for the last 10 years as an insurance agent at a small independent agency in Memphis. I am a huge sports fan and have been a Cubs fan my whole life. I live in Naperville and I am enjoying learning the lay of the land. Thank you all for being so welcoming! I look forward to getting to know everyone.
Ray is an industry-leading innovator in the areas of agency development, business management and agent training. Along with his professional designations, he has a background in Business Management and Accounting. He has authored articles and spoken throughout the United States to insurance professionals on the following topics: building sales and your bottom line, cross-selling, developing marketing strategies, leveraging technology to grow your agency, agent recruiting and managing a diverse and dispersed independent agent network.
For over 30 years, Joe was a perennial top producer. Now, with his own agency, he has been able to utilize this experience to create an agency that puts the client first, removing the tedious, nerve-wracking parts of insurance out of Allegiance's client experience. Leveraging his knowledge, Joe is an experienced liaison between numerous carriers, ensuring that Allegiance is able to continually offer the best options for their clients, and wonderful working conditions for its agents.
Daniel has been helping the Allegiance team since autumn of 2018. Graduating from St. Ambrose University, he brings knowledge of both traditional marketing and web design. Since starting, Daniel has helped create Allegiance's website and updated their brand identity throughout their social media channels. If you have questions or concerns about the website, let him know! Outside of work, Daniel is a huge Colorado Avalanche fan, and enjoys reading history at night.
Laura has been helping Allegiance for years. Energetic and excellent with customer service, Laura is able to step in during busy times of the year to help ensure that every client is able to be helped and responded to quickly. Laura also has a background in education.
Meghan has been working with Allegiance for over a year, helping Maggie and the rest of the team with branding, marketing and company direction. Meghan has over 15 years of experience in marketing, working at various non-profits, particularly ones that focus on education. Going forward, Meghan will be helping the team with its educational content, making sure that Allegiance can ensure that their customers are well-educated on the insurance they are getting. Outside of work, Meghan enjoys outdoor activities, such as hiking or boating.
Elvira is brand new to the Allegiance team, and will be helping handle afternoon and early morning phone calls to the office. With many years of office management and event planning, Elvira is going to help Allegiance be more active in their community.
